It includes perspectives on how medical bias affects care, voicing preferences, familiarizing parents with informed consent & rights of refusal, and additional related topics.

Join us for this in-person workshop to become more confident in your abilities during postpartum, and the newborn stages.

What can you expect?

- Postpartum Planning BEFORE you give birth (time off from work, lining up practical help, creating a postpartum sanctuary that will support healing and bonding)

- After you give birth (caring for your postpartum body, the nature of newborns, safe infant feeding, whether by body or bottle, parenting until dawn, and safe inant sleep)

- Safe and strong relationships with partners, co-parents, and close and extended community.

Participants are welcome to attend on their own or bring a partner, family member, or friend. We recommend that the person you choose to bring with you is the same person who will be supporting you during your postpartum time. This is an opportunity to connect with other expecting parents as well as birth workers in your community.

Refreshments and lunch are provided.
